Announcing Finite Cinema Dreams' First-Ever Noir Maze!

Come Get Lost in the Shadows...

Hey Classic Film Fans!

I wanted to let you in on some exciting news! In our Discord server during the month of November, I will be hosting Finite Cinema Dreams’ first ever Noir Maze! The full schedule¹ can be found below:

Each week, we’ll watch and discuss two films. So, for example, using the calendar above, this week (10/30), we’ll watch Double Indemnity (1944) and Sunset Blvd. (1950). For the second week, we’ll watch La otra (1946) and En la palma de tu mano (1951), and so on and so forth.

At the beginning of each week, I will open a new channel in the server where we can discuss the film. All conversations will be kept to that channel, so you won’t need to worry about any spoilers. If life gets busy, don’t sweat it. The channels will stay open, so whenever you get a chance to watch the films, feel free to pop into the channel! My goal with this is to introduce everyone to at least one new noir, and hopefully, a new favorite. I want this to be as fun and stress-free as possible!

Each week has theme, and they’re as follows:

Week One (10/30): Noir in Hollywood

Week Two (11/06): Noir in México

Week Three (11/13): Noir in London/Noir Outside the City

Week Four (11/20): Noir of Identity and Illusion/Noir in Color

Week Five (11/27): Troubled Relationships

Bonus: Noir in Sports/Noir in the Gangster Picture

Along with our Noir Maze event happening this month in our Discord community, we’ll also be hosting a watch party for Out of the Past (1947), with a specific date and time still to be determined.

Whether the films selected in this year’s Maze are all first-time watches for you, or you’ve seen all of them, we’d love to have you join our ever-growing and loving classic film community! We plan on hosting many more events in the future, and it’s FREE to join! All are welcome, whether you’re new to classic film or a seasoned veteran!
